
Juanita Amartey joined Gaines International in 1996 and has worn many hats within the organization throughout the years. As Business Manager, she directs all operational functions and administrative services for the firm and manages industry-specific and internal events. This includes event planning and operational leadership when the firm participates in, and acts as sponsors of, conventions and conferences such as the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the American Council of Engineering (ACEC), and the Design-Build Expo.
Juanita is responsible for all aspects of Gaines’ business management and execution, from marketing, site selection, and logistics to travel accommodations. In sum, Juanita has become the “glue” that keeps the organization together.
Juanita is a Northwestern University graduate, where she received her B.S. in Education and Social Policy with a concentration in Organizational Studies, and has earned a Masters in Media Management from Columbia College Chicago.
