Overview:
Our client is a global design firm specializing in interior design, interior architecture and procurement services for the hospitality industry. The firm addresses each project’s unique identity, exploring geography, architecture, client vision, budget, and environment to arrive at the personalized and distinctive solution of each of its clients. Due to strategic growth and planning, the firm is seeking a Vice President.
The Vice President will manage all phases on interior design and architecture projects and will ensure client satisfaction and senior management satisfaction of design, profitability and management of the project. He/She will serve as member of the firm’s Senior Leadership team and will delegate responsibility providing proper instructions, mentoring and counseling. The Vice President will prepare meaningful performance appraisals and provides appropriate feedback to team members. He/She will be responsible for interpreting client’s desires and needs and programming those ideas into a design approach. The Vice President will attend key meetings and presentations throughout the U.S. and overseas, as necessary. He/She will develop fees, schedules and work plans and will be responsible for various business development responsibilities.
Qualifications:
The candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Interior design and a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience; prior experience as a hospitality designer/interior architect and project manager is a bonus. He/She should have knowledge of zoning, code and accessibility requirements. The successful candidate should be an effective business advisor demonstrating broad based hospitality, business and project management skills. He/She should have knowledge of construction costs and FF&E costs and familiarity with CAD software.
