Overview:

Our client is a professional design and engineering firm that has built projects that include: corporate facilities, banking and financial institutions, government buildings, public and private institutions, airports, cultural and performing arts facilities, convention centers, health care facilities, religious buildings, recreational and sports facilities, university buildings and residential developments. The firm’s services include site and building evaluations, feasibility studies, facilities programming and planning, conceptual design, architectural design, sustainable design, construction administration and post-occupancy evaluations specifications. Due to continued success and strategic growth, the firm has decided to augment its existing staff with a Senior Technical Coordinator.

The Senior Technical Coordinator will have overall responsibility for the technical aspects of project delivery within the Los Angeles office. He/She will oversee the preparation of construction documents and the administration of projects through the construction phase. The Senior Technical Coordinator will identify, hire, guide and conduct reviews of technical architects within the office. He/She will assist designers in achieving designs and documentation that are responsive to project budgets. The Senior Technical Coordinator will prepare code analysis and confer with clients, consultants, contractors and others during various stages of project development. He/She will contribute to the development of project plan and the management of the project team. The Senior Technical coordinator will participate in marketing and business development.

Qualifications:

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and be a licensed architect. He/She should have seven or more years of progressively responsible experience in all phases of architecture and substantial experience in the design of large scale projects. The candidate should have demonstrated proficiency in the design and implementation of Interior Architecture projects and thorough knowledge of architectural design, delineation, detailing, building materials, building codes, construction technique and costs. He/She should have proficiency in computer based graphics and management programs as well as drawing. The candidate should posses the ability to navigate a construction site, make visual observations and communicate verbally and in writing.
