Anne Boase is Strategic Partner for Gaines International in London, managing research and candidate development for UK and international assignments. Anne’s experience in the construction, design and property development industries enable her to provide essential market knowledge for searches across the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, Europe and the Middle East.

Anne started her career in executive search in 1987 with David James Associates, a retained search firm specialising in senior and middle management placements in the construction and engineering industries. Anne trained as a researcher at David James, before moving into a candidate and business development role, representing leading UK and European construction groups. Anne left David James in 1991, during the recession in the UK construction industry, and joined an international search consultancy as Head of Research, managing assignments in the IT/telecoms, defence, high-tech manufacturing and environment sectors. She returned to construction in 1996 as an independent research consultant and since then has focussed on building and civil engineering, architecture, interiors and property development in the UK, Europe and Middle East.

Anne was born and brought up in London but now lives in Bath, a Georgian city featuring some of the finest architectural masterpieces in Europe. She is married, with three grown-up children and is currently studying on a modular programme for a Masters in Strategic Management at the University of Bristol. When Anne does get away from her desk, she likes to be in the open air, hill walking and taking landscape photographs.
