Juanita Amartey joined Gaines International as an Administrative Assistant in 1996, and throughout the years, she has worn many hats within the organization. Now as Business Manager, she directs all operational functions and administrative services for the firm. She also manages industry-specific and internal events for Gaines. This includes event planning for the Gaines Quarterly Retreats and providing operational leadership when the firm participates in, and acts as sponsors of, conventions and conferences such as the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the American Council of Engineering (ACEC), and the Design-Build Expo. She is responsible for all aspects of planning and execution from marketing, site selection, logistics to selecting travel accommodations. In sum, Juanita has become the “glue” that keeps the Gaines organization together.

Juanita is a Northwestern University graduate, where she received her B.S. in Education and Social Policy with a concentration in Organizational Studies. And earned a Masters in Media Management from Columbia College Chicago.
