Sean McBride joined Gaines in 2000 as a recruiter, becoming a Senior Consultant in 2004. In 2006 he was named a Vice President responsible for helping to lead the firm with strategic vision and business development direction. Sean has gained comprehensive knowledge of the design and the building industry. Clients and consultants alike seek him out as an expert in executive search and industry knowledge.

Sean has extensive experience across a number of market sectors including healthcare, science & technology, education, corporate interiors, residential, commercial/mixed use, etc. Within the industry, Sean focuses on senior level strategic hires for client firms in architecture, interiors, engineering, real estate and construction.

Sean started his career at Accurate Recruiting, a Chicago-based firm focused on a generalist practice where he focused on financial searches. Sean served a dual role and was responsible for new business development as well as candidate development. Sean brings a unique blend of design and business expertise to all of Gaines search assignments.

Sean McBride is a graduate of the University of Michigan where he earned a BA degree from the College of Literature, Science and the Arts with a concentration in Business and Psychology. He lives in Chicago with his wife Jennifer.
